Hi all, I have a question that I need help with. I just received my notice of appointment along with my copies of my contract. The problem is that the contract has me listed as starting work on the 15th of August, however I wont be able to get to Korea for another 2 weeks at least. Given this situation will I need to have another contract sent with another date and would the consulate issue a visa if the date of issuance is a few days past the date of the contract? I feel that I will need to get a new contract with new dates, but it is just such a hassle!!! |

It doesn't matter - don't lose any sleep over it.
Your visa is good for 90 days from date of issue.
Your period of sojourn (allowable time in Korea) is for 1 full year from your date of entry - regardless of what it says on your contract.
Contract extensions (to complete a full year) and extensions to your stay in Korea (if necessary to fulfill your contract) are simple matters to deal with when necessary (end of contract time). |
