| Fo' real I know I'm burnt to a crisp. For this reason I planned myself about 5 to 6 months out of Korea before I come back for one more year to set aside some money for returning to university. I figure a few months wandering around in 3rd World countries ought to recharge the batteries. If not that actually being in North America for the X-mas holidays for the first time in 3 years might be a good charge me up. |

I knew I was burnt out in Hong Kong when I was standing at the crosswalk thinking that...'if I just let that bus graze me...I bet I could get a couple weeks in the hospital...now that would be so much better than going to work..."
It was soon after that that we decided to return to Korea. |
Speaking of Hong Kong. I love the crosswalsk. They are so cute. They make a tick tock noise, and then when the walk sign turns green, they ticktock really fast. cute, cute, cute^^ |

Cold pizza actually starts to look like an attractive breakfast option and the idea of having a few beers before class at a local pojungmacha isn't too nutty either.
Trust me....I've done both!
Oh yeah, you quit shaving and tell the wongjunwanker that you are growing a beard. |

For me it's not being able to so easily put up with the stupid stuff anymore. It just bugs me and continues to bug me and ruins my day. That and the pollution which this summer seems to be giving me headaches every single day that it isn't pissing down rain (on those days I actually feel marginally ok!).
Also been snapping at my wife much more than I should be and my co-teacher complains that I don't like Korea enough (I complain too much). She's right and I feel bad about it but it's like I'm constantly stuck in a bad mood or almost constantly. As for my wife, she understands and we've got our sabbatical to Canada planned but we can't go until next summer which will put my time in Korea at 4 and a half years without having gone home at all. I've traveled a bit during that time (Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, China, Japan) and we're heading to Germany for a wedding in a few weeks but still... there's no place like home! I can't wait to get on the plane!

For me, it's constantly imagining how the beer will taste when I get home and how nice and clean the weather and air will be. Oh, and how polite people are... ahhh! |

| When a student gives you a present and you give it away as a prize to your next class because the last god damn thing you want is another damn set of spam or soap in the corner of your apartment. |
