My first arrival in Seoul (and Korea).
I have my original degree, but not transcripts (although I think transcripts are emailed on PDF files, now.
I have my TEFL cert, other documents, etc.
So,
Should I come to Seoul on a tourist visa (I'm an American) and then find work,
or,
Do folks recommend I use a recruiter to set me up beforehand, and arrive with my E-2 visa? |

I have a different type of visa and flew out here on my own dime. I received 2 offers for employment in my first week in Seoul, but neither hagwon would agree to pay for my airfare. It sucks that they won't reimburse me, but at the same time, I had the chance to check out the hagwons and living facilities before accepting any offers. |

Don't come without several 'hard copies' of your (sealed) transcripts - you'll just have to order them from your university and have them couriered over. |
