Cebu would be #2.
WILD ON E - PHILIPPINES is an American TV show where they just go party at the beaches and clubs and report on it. You can find it on youtube.
Here is the link to Part 1 of 7 in the Philippines: http://youtube.com/watch?v=wbB5CswtwHA&mode=related&search= |

I've heard some stories about that place... Isn't it a giant hooker area? Similar to all of Thailand? |

No, Angeles is not a giant hooker area. They are normal sized. You can rent motorcycles there. I got one and rode to Bagio. |

Sounds like you picked a good one. So how did you get to Bagio?
I did see a midget dancer there once. |

I got a motorcycle and tried to find Mt Pinotubo. I failed. then I went to 100 Islands national park and spent the night. The next day I went north of Bagio and then up the mountain. The sunset view of the ocean was awesome. Then I tried to ride the crest of the mountians going north but the weather was bad and I was constantly warned of bandits. Then I went back to Bagio and then down that well made six lane highway though fog and several climate zones. Wicked. Then I hit a rainstorm and the roads flooded. I had to make a face guard from something I got at a hardware store, it worked like shi*. I got back to the hotel with blazing hypothermia.
I recommend the adventure. Angeles is historical. They called me a "cherry-boy". |

We rented a plane and pilot. We succeeded.
Never did make it up to Bagio or Banaue. Always seemed just a bit too far away, after waking up at noon, and the heat, and the hotel pool just outside, and icy San Miguel... |

This is turning into the Baguio spelled wrongly thread. (Bagio?)
Speaking of Baguio, did anyone really like the city?
I heard so many great things about it by reading about it...springlike climate, huge college town, playground of Manila's wealthy. When I actualy went to Baguio, I was sadly disappointed.
Maybe it has changed since then? I have heard that many Koreans are going to Baguio and investing there. I also heard Baguio is looking a bit more and more like Manila now - the worst of it. Hard to believe. I actually found Baguio to be relatively small and not all that pretty to look at either. But I heard its the countryside around it that people go there, not for the city of Baguio itself.
Maybe I owe myself another visit. |

I liked Baguio, the climate especially. The market and square where everyone plays chess was good fun. Got my ass kicked in speed chess by a 12 year old. I dunno when you were there, but I think the vibe might be better when uni is in session. Managed to find a couple of lively places with live music at night. The missus lapped up that massive shopping mall. We stayed there for a few days and it was entirely enjoyable for recharging the batteries before setting off further north. |

That's just awesome. Glad you didn't run into any, but still...just awesome. |
