Many of you modern women have travelled a lot.

Some of you may have even lived in other countries.

How would yous rank the obsessively misogynistic, one-track minded white guys of each nation?

Feel free to rank them in terms of their looks, or the 'Moronic Machismo's Misogynist Scale' of 1 - 10 (1 being only mildly moronic, 10 being magnificently so), ... or, in terms of your own choosing.

[It could be worth including mention as to whether you're referring to them in their home environment cultures, or in their newly adopted pissing-territory as expat whitie-boys. ... And, have you noticed any difference therein?]

Do Spanish people count? My sister and other friends who lived in Spain say that Spanish guys are very very good looking but way too sleazy. Although is sleazy being mysogynistic...I'm not sure..anyway thought I'd contribute.

Screw the "white guy" part. The most misogynistic men are the ones who can't get women. That's why they criticize the heck out of them. Or maybe they can't get the decent ones because they are misogynists. Chicken, egg.

This especially applies to the pissing contest boys on Dave's.

Sorry ladies. The nature of the board, and by extension the nature of the posters, is a little misogynistic.

It is not that simple.

This is going to turn into the "misogyny thread" redux, but I have found that men who are the best AND the worst with women tend to be misogynist. I have known some highly successful guys who have no respect for women whatsoever. The guys with no success are the ones who respect women too much, and are misogynistic as a emotional fall back. The misogyny drops away as when they do have some success with women.

Granted, I think this board falls into the later category, but I don't think you can say that no success with women = misogynist.

It's misogynistic to have thread after thread about which country has the hottest girls, about Korean TV personalities and whose the hottest, about guys sharing their hints and tips for savvy whoring in Korea - the "success" with women thing is just a small part.

There seems to be a pervasive attitude amongst twenty something, caucasian middle class guys who travel: it never seems to be, "how can I be appealling and attract/impress/please this woman?", its always "how do you measure up? Are you good enough to be considered a potential f...ck?"

Paji eh Wong - "Misogyny" translates to hatred for women, clearly the OP does not hate herself or other women but is asking a legitimate question. The same question from a guys perspective is met with light hearted joking and the occassional lewd comment. But from the OP you suddenly conclude that she herself is being misogynistic. It's got nothing to do with a man's "success" with women. It has to do with respect.

How in the world is the nature of an internet board that is based on living abroad misogynistic?

There's nothing misogynistic about discussing beauty. If one were to say, "Which country has the easiest girls?" or "Which Asian girls are the best in bed?" I could see where you're coming from. If the women on this board had a poll that said "Which country has the hottest guys?" it wouldn't bother me (or I'm sure, any other guy here).

There's no need to get defensive every time you see men talking about women. There's also no need to play the "misogyny card" every time you see men discussing womens' appearance.

I don't hate women--on the contrary--I love them. All shapes, sizes, nationalities, personalities...but not the ones who think it's misogynistic to discuss females. What's the word for hatred of men? That's what it is if you deny men the right to discuss beautiful women.

But who is talking about beauty?

Is there a thread anywhere on this board extolling the virtues of all kinds of women from all ethnic backgrounds? It's always a discussion about who WINS. And "hot" is not a synonym for beautiful. It's about sex, straight forward.

I know what you mean about the misogny card. It's a pity, but I admit to being a little pre-programmed to being on the defensive with this topic. I agree with everything you've said - I dont think there is anything wrong with admiring a women's physical beauty. It's just that the tone of a lot of these posts I read tend more towards something a little less innocent.

"Discussing" beauty? There's a line. Picking apart a women's sexual appeal and physical attractiveness - or in fact whole countries of women - like they're competing brands of beer or something, leaves me cold. It just doesn't strike me as appreciative as you make out, Jizzo.

None of those threads are discussing personality. Loving a woman's T&A isn't loving women.

I don't see how posting surveys about beautiful women makes one a misogynist. A misogynist is someone who hates women. So a poll created by a misogynist would ask something like which country has the most snobbish, self-centered women?

Say, what is the word equivalent to misogynist for women who hate men? I only ask because the OP did not use misogynist correctly. But then, given the not too subtle avatar, the confusion may be understandable.

However, my poll about the most beautiful white English speaking women was meant to be a joke, a parody of the beautiful Asian women poll. If you read it carefully, it asks where a guy would look for a wife. I wouldn't look for the place with the most beautiful women, but the place with the most intelligent, understanding, loving women.

Too much beauty without character can sometimes be a curse in a woman.

And in case anyone is interested, I did not vote for the U.S.

I might add that the discussion of going to Utah to pick up hot Mormon chicks is one of the dumbest, most bizarre ideas I have seen here.

Misogyny is the wrong word for what happens on this board. It's not really hatred of women at all, but the sexual objectification of women.

Men have always thought of women in relation to sex, and men always will. If men didn't objectify women, the human species would have gone extinct along time ago. It's hard wired into the psyche.

Get over it feminists.

Hatred is something very different.
