|

I'm going to be flying to Korea via Hong kong with Cathay Pacific and despite having searched their website, I can't see any info relating to baggage costs for luggage that exceeds the 20Kg limit.
If anyone knows what the charge is per kilo for going over the 20kg limit I'd be extremely grateful. |

Normally if you are a bit over (say 5 kilo or so), they let you through.
It says on their website that excess baggage is charged at applicable local rate. Your best bet is to call them up and ask.
I am assuming you are living in the UK? Their phone number is: 020) 8834-8888 |

I was once 18 kgs over and they made may pay. Usually they are pretty good and let it go.
Anyways, in response to the OP's question, they charged me something like AUD 98. This was about 4 years ago (flying from Australia to Seoul).
Also, I think you can use your Asia Miles for excess baggage if you are a member.
