I think the 56 hours of filming editted to 1 hour of footage is the key.
I have no doubt that A LOT of anti-infidel/death to the kuffoar (sp???) nonsense was sprouted, and would no doubt be recognised as this regardless of context. But what about the other 55 hours???
Only a fool would believe that there was no anti-heathen/infidel/insert-word-here rhetoric in a place of worship. This is especially true, in today's politiocal environment, of mosques in the West. This is not 'new' news. So why film for 56 hours, then edit to 1 hour??? Inflammatory??? You bet.
The CPS is bang on in this case IMHO.

What percent, in your opinion, of the lectures would have to be genocidal for Ch.4's doc to be appropriate?
Related, how many 54 hour programs have you watched? Me too.
I'd say 1 hour is a fairly standard length for a program. |

What percent??? Obviously greater than 1/56. Just kidding.
The duration of the program is not the debate. The charge is 'inciting racial hatred'.
That some/many/all of the clerics are anti-West is 'old' news. So why make the documentary??? Because these were 'moderate' clerics??? Bollocks. Channel 4 knows this would sell and get a great audience.
Lets get this straight. I am not defending these clerics. Deport them by all means. But this kind of news 'expose' is irresponsible. It is preying on racial/religious tensions, rather one-sidedly.
