Hi peeps,

I need a new, British passport. Fairly straightforward? Do I just pop over to the British embassy? Where is it?!

Cheers.

Yes. But you need to go before 12 (from 9.30) - that's when the consulate opens until.

The British Embassy is next to Deok-soo-gung by City Hall. It's right behind the Anglican Cathedral.

Here's a map:

You can look at it here and download some forms. It'll cost you 280,000 won for a 48 page, which apparently they now have in stock and you need 2 passport photos that are signed for by a member of the commonwealth (so they can be Canadians, Brits, Aussies, NZ etc.) with words like *I confirm that this is the true likeness of the applicant* and sign. You will know when you see the form. It tells you there.

Here you will find the forms:

This link is about the consular section in Seoul:

Get it done soon. Soon the British government is introducing finger printing and eye scans for passport holders.

Hey there.

I just went through the process to get a new British passport (my nickname might be an indicator of that..lol). I actually got my passport back today.
It's incredibly simple. Here's the link for the British Embassy in Seoul
http://www.britishembassy.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1094236875377
The biggest thing is the price. 227,000W for a 32 page passport or 280,000W for the 48 page passport. All of the passports issued now by the embassy in Seoul are the biometric ones.
Basically, you download the form, fill everything in, hit the embassy. It takes upto 10 business days to get the passport back. You can either go back to the embassy to pick it up or have it shipped back to you (which is what I did).
Good luck!
