Ok... it's gotta be done.
I'm a sucker for accents. Since the day when I, as a pimply gangly 17 year old fresh from the farm and on a mission to ride a 250 dirtbike around my country, found myself naked and enveloped in the drunken lustful embrace of a beautiful female 25 year old swedish backpacker named ..... Arlett...i think... (can't remember too much of the encounter apart from it being the best 3 seconds of my life)... I've always had a soft spot...ermmm .... a hard spot... for accents...
But not all accents are created equal. Met a french canadian girl once who would finish behind shrek in a beauty contest.... and yet (providing the lights were out) was as sexy as hell purely for her accent.
And then I met a canadian lass from newfoundland..... pretty little thing she was... but it didn't work out because she wouldn't stop talking.... arrrrrrghhhh the sound of fingernails down a blackboard... (can i still say blackboard???? ... ummm an african american board..).
so what accents are sexy? For me, the german accent does it for me. Not sure why. Korean accent doesn't.... generally. Depends on the situation. Listening to Thai, chinese (especially cantonese), vietnamese....... the audible equivalent of chewing on aluminium foil.
Same goes for the american accent. Sexy newsreader on CNN.... but the volume's gotta be turned way down... Funnily enough, the deep south american twang is more bearable...even sexy somehow......
I used to think our own aussie accent was ok... fairly neutral. Until coming home from a few years overseas..... Jeezus.... do we REALLY sound like THAT????
I gotta find a korean girl with a german accent.... |

Recently I've developed a new appreciation for the West Coast American accent. It sounds very seductive to me now.
Edit: I didn't notice the word "women" in the thread title! You can ignore my contribution.

Easy one.
Latin languages sound the best when speaking English. |

Naturally English. I fell in love with a girl from Hong Kong once because of her English accent. |

I'd say French, Spanish, and Irish accents sound pretty damn sexy. The way the those Latin languages can 'roll' the tongue for some words really catches my attention. Irish sounds smooth and soft when spoken by some women.
Harshest I've heard are Russian, NZ, and some Japanese women. Russian sounds angry, NZ kind of annoying (ex-room-mate was a Kiwi chick), and some Japanese women sound like they're speaking too nasally or something. |

Agreed. I was seeing a British girl here in Korea 11 years ago, and when we'd lay in bed, she'd whisper in my ear with that British accent. I still think about that from time to time. |

A suprise accent can be interesting. Once met a Taiwanese girl with a full-on New Zealand accent, after 4 years in "Oakland" (the way she said). It was unusual. I doubt any of that accent entered her Mandarin though. |
