What's the price of printers in Korea? Specifically, a black and white one would be just fine. The school I'm coming to has color ones. Thanks.

Hi elliemk,

About $70-$140 for a black and white.

Thanks so much! How much are the cartridges usually? (I don't read Korean yet, but know I'll have to learn so I can shop on all the great online Korea sites!) Ellie Smile

I have an HP Deskjet 5440 color/B&W I bought about 2 years ago for a little over 110,000 won. Cartridges cost 15,000-20,000 depending whether color or black at Yongsan. Good printer. cartridges are probably 30% more expensive in stores away from Yongsan.

i got a basic HP at Lotte Mart for about 80 bucks. it's fast, it's quiet, it doesn't take up much space, and it can print photos and all that stuff too. not sure how much cartridges are...but i will this weekend, since it's time to get new ones...

haha, i bet the cartridges are probably about 50,000 won...

Just thought I'd let everyone know that I got a Canon I1300 Pixma for 34,000 won this last weekend. Great little printer for photos or normal printing.

I'm after a printer, but was thinking about a laser rather than an inkjet.

A laser would be somewhat extravagant (I'll only really be printing documents but maybe the odd photo) but I'd prefer to spend a little more for the speed and convienence etc.

Can anyone recommend a buget/entry laser?

Also, what are the running costs of a laser printer over an inkjet?
