| Yes, its likely too late but you can try to get one and remove all doubt. |

There are buses(really comfortable) every 15 minutes every day of the year from gangnam terminal to busan...cost will be about 30 000 won.
usually no booking needed and I am not sure you can book but get there early.... |

I dunno. I guess for someone who's been here almost a year, it was a pretty silly question.
I mean, you had the good fortune to see a train. So you know THEY exist. But who in the industrialized world has never seen a bus, or heard about google?
Anyway, just messing with ya. But, wow.
Sincerely though, don't take a bus on Chusweok unless you want to be on the road for double the time it usually takes.

i looked up the site but the only one i could find didnt give any schedules or a section where i could buy tickets- just hey we have a train- it goes fast- we have first class. blah blah blah. something about a foreigner rail something or other. hence the asking for help as i've never actually taken the train nor bus and dont know much about either.
i really dont wanna stay in seoul for chuseok- i see enough of it everyday. i am dying to get to the beach and thought busan would be good.
10 hours on a bus though... yikes. |

| Get a Korean friend to reserve a ticket for you, or just go to the bus terminal the day before you want to leave and buy a ticket. I went last weekend and it costs 60,000 round trip. It took 4.5 hours with a 15 minute rest stop. See if you can get the bus that goes directly to Haeundae. I ended up at the bus terminal a little outside the city and had to ride the subway for 45 minutes |

GOOGLE!!
You will need to know korean to access the Korail info., or book a ticket. Korea Sparkling! Hwighting!
Here's a secret. You can buy train tickets at most department stores.
Find their Customer Service desk. Not the "information' desk, but the Customer Service desk. It is usually on the upper floors. It's where you buy gift certificates and take items for repair.
They will sell train tickets in advance.
Make sure you complain about the lack of english on the Korail site when you go to the station. |
