Its been three seasons of growing melons on rootops in containers and I've had very little success. Chamae can come out OK, but the other melons don't thrive. Out in the country they are very healthy but in a container over cement - no. I like melons, I'm a melon man so I'm disappointed. |

I met this Scottish chick at Deokjeokdo in May with amazing
saggy melons. I mean these melons were ripe and grandiose,
so it was no surprise they were sagging. She showed them to me
and my buddy around the campfire at about 2:00AM.
Very saggy, very nice |

I understand your containers are pretty big, but maybe they need to be even bigger. Or it could be that they need more compost or something. If melons are anything like pumpkins they get pretty hungry.
Can you post up a photo of your planters? I might be interested in buying some in the future.
