The exchange rate is not looking too good for us Brits.

It was worse in 2004 when I was first here.
No way of beating it
It's going to hurt for a long time if you are sending back.
You could always buy dollar stick it in a dollar account and wait for Iraq to finish and America to get back on track then cash them back in for sterling.
