Hey,

I wanted to take my girlfriend to a park tomorrow night. Does anyone know of any good areas to sit and have a late night picnic?
The quieter the better.

Thanks

If it's crazy drunk fun, nothing beats Hongdae Playground. If you want a quieter place, at least where there won't be people too nearby, Yeouinaru is a decent enough choice. Other than that, there are smaller parks everywhere.

No, I'm just looking for a place that we can sit and have some wine. I was hoping to find a park with a fair bit of trees so we can be somewhat secluded.

Oh well.

I live in North East Seoul. But, I usually meet up with my gf in central Seoul. So, anywhere east of Hongdae would be fine.

Then Namsan sounds like a safe bet. There's also a decent restaurant at the top to drink in that's usually not so crowded. After dark I doubt many people will be around except for the main pathways.

There is a very cool park between Shinchon and Ehwa Women's University.

It's the very very large hill between the two...almost no one goes up there. Great views as well!

Very few people even know it exists, let alone go up there.

Just be careful. There are weirdos in parks late at night. I heard from a former coworker that someone actually got stabbed in Olympic Park a few years ago. She heard this from her Korean aunt. The victim died, by the way.

Tiger Beer: Where is that park? Are you referring to the hilly expanse north of Yonsei and Ewha Universities, with a tunnel in the middle?
I did notice that the area north of Yonsei was rather deserted. Would you mind giving us clear directions as to how to get there?
