...rocks my socks.

It might be that I scored a sweet suit for a song today, or that this evening I've done nothing but stay home, drink a satisfactory merlot that cost 5 bucks, and fill and fair the little boat - which finally has the rc unit installed, deck on, cockpit built and is ready to paint and rig.

It might be that, after what seemed like an endless negotiation around an ambiguous point regarding plane tickets in the '06 GEPIK contracts, I finally secured the departure date I wanted and it's exactly 2 weeks from tomorrow and my replacement is en route. These are all contributing factors but Marvin Gaye rocks my socks, all that notwithstanding.

This being the random shout out that it is, feel free to comment as randomly as you like...or, better yet, take the time to hit torrent pond and gather up some Marvin Gaye.

Let's get it on...

I listened to Here, My Dear earlier this evening. Heart-breaking, devastating stuff--it's his divorce album, and he knew the royalties would be going to his ex-wife. The gatefold sleeve features a picture of his soon-to-be-ex wife's jewelry/vanity dresser facing a picture of his studio.

A great, great record.

Now that's how to keep coo-ool in August. I think I'll follow your lead with that.

That's an image that makes me grateful to have been divorced early and not long out of university. Not much to contest when it comes to splitting student debt...Thanks for that - I don't know the album and I'm striking out so far looking for it, but a little tragic Marvin Gaye has place in the collection.
