I could use one of these myself. Everyday when I walk to work, even though it's 9AM, I am drenched in sweat by the time I get to work. Yucky!

I bought a used air conditioner from another foreigner. It's the kind that has an exhaust air hose that goes out the window. The condensate can normally be expelled by evaporation out the exhaust air hose.

Today it suddenly stopped, the lighted LCD display blinked like crazy, and it made a nasty beeping sound.

After a short panic I realized it was the alarm for the water tank. There was just to much humidity for it to be expelled in the exhaust air.

While trying to drain the tank I dumped most of it on the floor.

It would be better if it used a solid state cooling unit like in one of those coolers that plugs into a cigarette lighter.
