Often on Sunday morning for the last few months I see a show with non-Korean (foreign) women on it. They talk about stuff and generally have that Korean girl pretty look (covering the mouth when laughing for example.)
But, why have I not seen a show with non-Korean men on it, what, for a year at least.
What's going on with the gender bias?
Is it not just a show made for Korean men? The Korean-only men on the show seem to lap it up.

Think around the globe. Name 1 TV show with MORE than 3 guys talking about something other than sports that is popular.

Yeah, the world doesn't like a bunch of dudes rambling on like Oprah Winfree. What should Korea be any different?

However, if there WAS a show, I'd be the first person in line to audition for it.

So, it's okay to have all female shows? But not all male shows?
Remember that there was a show once with all males. Now is all female shows for months so far.

It's been many Korean men's fantasies to talk about inane and trivial things with foreign airheads. Finally Korea has globalised to the point where there are a handful of waygook women who know enough Korean to do it and can spare them the trouble of having to fumble along in English. Just think how sophisticated the guys on the programme must look to the ajoshis at the hof who can't even get a waygook guy to come drink with them at their feeding trough.

I'd just love to know what all of those women are really saying about Korea when they chat with their friends back home.

Guys love sports, what do you expect?

Though I have seen cars, technology, political shows with just a bunch of guys talking, we're living in the 21st century.

I have seen shows in China and Japan before "talking with beauties" even came out, and they have numerous guys on the show speaking Chinese and Japanese. The Chinese show was very interesting, I was really surprised at their abilities in speaking Chinese.

Aha, so what exactly is it after all? I've read this type of rants about the show many times on Dave's. Is it just in the context of demanding more "representation" of yourself? It's not like the show's where they should hire employees based on the principles of gender equality or something. Korea has had a few tv shows where foreign males appeared (not just as English teachers on EBS). Lately, I watched 느낌표 on tv and there were 4 foreign guys and Korean ladies travelling around looking for craftsmen.

Watching the women on TV was like looking into a window in Mia-Ri.
Like contestants with little numbers and nationalities on them. Are they contestants? Is it a "Who can do the best agashi impression?" Like a beauty pageant. Or was it a talk show?

I watched some of it on YouTube and thought it was interesting to see these girls so far along in their Korean skills. Does anybody know of a listing in English of the girls on the show and what their story is? If it's on a Korean Web site that requires you to join and enter your passport number, I'd appreciate it if one of you who already has access would paste the listing here.
