Do you know a place around Seoul where I can earn a legit TEFL cert at a fair price? I know there are some decent online options but I wouldn't mind the classroom setting either as that also has benefits I would imagine. Thanks! |

I did the Hanyang-Oregon TESOL course. It is a bit pricy at 3.1 million, but they offer a few scholarships that bring the cost down by half (I attended on a scholarship.) It is taught by foreign PhDs. Very good, rigerous program, but not much formal observation of teaching practice. It takes 5 months part-time, next application time is October or November for a January start. |

damn! 3.1! go to thailand and you can do it all INCLUDING AIRFARE AND LODGING for under 1.5...
Korean society is so adamant about ensuring the quality of its English teachers is so great. Im surprised there aren't more TESOL courses... but then again, as someone whose done the TESOL, i can say for sure that the TEFL/TESOL method is totally different from the Korean method... |
