There's so much wrong with this, I don't know where to begin. If that was a tree on Dokdo, would Koreans feel so free to just wedge their trash in there? |

Awesome photo.
I love these little details about life in Korea.
Maybe rather than putting in more garbage cans, they should plant more trees. |

I blame this squarely on America. The litter is a Baskin Robbins tub, and a Coca-Cola cup. Haaar! |

It's hard to find garbage cans in Korea....I think their motto is....more garbage cans...more garbage?? |

Exactly. I had to sit a cup down in the floor of the subway station today because there were no garbage cans. That's exactly why there is trash everywhere. I'm guilty of littering, too because I don't want to carry empty containers around forever when I'm out somewhere. |

Indeed. My neighbours throw their trash in the stairwell here, have to step over it these days it is so much.
Nice one, Korean man from next door, for dumping empty cans of tuna there. No, the smell does not bug me in this heat, you civilized little chimpanzee, you.
I admit, I was wrong to use the word 'rude' to describe Koreans before, a more apt word is 'inconsiderate'.
This is true, people.

Of course Koreans wouldn't do this to a tree on 'Dokdo' (Takeshima).
There are no trees there. It's just a big rock that's smaller than my apartment but holds 99% of the world's bird shit supply. |

The biggest complaint I have about Korea is the garbage. I can never get over seeing someone eating something and throwing the trash on the ground without a second thought. Of course Koreans know it is wrong, but they do it just the same. They have no conscience in regards to this matter. I think they should outlaw bubblegum here. All over the street and side walks are these little black dots. What is that? I thought. The answer was simpler than I first thought. It's f*&^ing gum! |
