you may already have been vaccinated against some of these but basically you should definitely ensure you are vaccinated against polio, tetanus, hep A and typhoid.
Diptheria, TB, Hep B, Rabies and Japanese encephalitis are also a good idea although some of the vaccinations such as hep B and Rabies are a course of injections that can take over a month to administer depending on your doctor. Also the cost of the rabies vaccinations might be a factor you take into consideration, it is quite expensive (around 90), at least in the UK.
At the end of the day though I don't think that any vaccinations are compulsory but the best thing to do is go to your doctor and discuss it with them they will have a lot more information. |

30 years ago I would have said you would need many, which I got ( you name it and they gave it to me). Now, unless you are in the real sticks, you probably won't need any. The only thing you may have to worry about is Malaria, and then only if you are near the DMZ. |

I would say the most important to get are Hepatitis and TB, as both are health risks here.
Least important: rabies. Your chances of getting rabies are very very slim and the shots are painful and expensive. Unless you're teaching English to wolves or bats, I wouldn't be too concerned. |

Add Hep B if you plan on swapping spit (kissing or more intimate contact) with others of a like mind while you are here. |
