I'm heading to Beijing just for a long weekend. I'm wondering if anyone has the Lonely Planet China edition that they'd be willing to let me borrow until I return.

I can put something up for collateral if you like.. I just don't see the point of buying the huge book when I'll only be there for a few days.

Thanks for looking.

You can buy the Lonely Planet Beijing City Guide from any large bookstore in central Seoul. (Kyobo, Banda & Luni?)

Oh, and the LP China too, although it's twice as thick & has half the information on Beijing.

Thank you for the information. I am aware that I can buy the book. However, as I said in my first post, I would prefer to borrow it instead of buy it.

You can go to a bookstore and buy a copy then sell it when you get back on here for twice what you paid for it.

LOL ... that's the eslcafe way!

i have an older china LP. some of the info is probably out of date, but since the forbidden city hasn't been moved, i'm sure it's still a useful guide.

if you're prepared to meet me on the green line (near samsung station or jamsil) you can have it ... i wouldn't want it back, so no need to return it when you're done.

send me a message if you're interested.

Hi,

Some friends of mine (Chinese and foreign) recently wrote and published a book specifically for travel in China. It's called "Streetwise Guide: Beijing." It's not available for sale yet, however, I have an advanced copy. If you would like to borrow, you are more than welcome to if you can do two things: 1) critique it (I mean write down what was useful, what worked well, what you didn't like about the guide) 2) keep it in nice condition.

Send me a PM
