Desperate people do desperate things. If someone answered his ad they are asking for trouble. |

I think the biggest oddity of this is a Korean man wanting a white woman. Or maybe he's hoping for a Fillipina. |

Ugh, I have a Fillipina neighbor who sneaks over to talk to the other foreigners when her husband's away. She's always nervous, ocassionally appears bruised, and has confided in me that "my husband doesn't let me have friends, and gets angry at me when I say hi to people on the street... but he's getting a little better." |

I like how he asks for a pic. He might as well add 'no fat chics'. |

Also I do like Western men, but I would go out with a Korean guy that speaks really good English. And please no people that are here for a weekend or are visiting for a couple of months.
please reply with a pic. thanks! |

Ya there are quite a few Filipinas in Korea who are abused by their husbands. |

Yeah, and i once heard of a forum dedicated to KOREA and its issues, called Daves. This forum is about korea, not about wherever you came from, therefore, keep the white on white out of it. |

Well, that's one topic on Dave's. Let's be honest, though: Dave's has been host to discussion about Everything important to EveryBody at one time or another in it's life. Or will be. And Dave has never had to slap around HIS posters, 'cause they do it for themselves.
I think-->Generalities of all types, sans factualities, are better off dead for the survival of this thread...or any other.

Well, another interesting topic is the general abuse of Fillipina wives globally. My lawyer back home--- a saint who was willing to work pro-bono cases if he thought the cause was good-- helped several abused Fillipina wives divorce their husbands.
There's a creepy subset of men in the U.S. who deliberately seek out third world wives with little or no English skills and no drivers license, then think they can get away with keeping them as virtual slaves.
Back when I was a business banker I dealt with a really creepy guy like that who owned an art gallery and was on his third marriage to Fillipina woman young enough to be his daughter. The previous two Fillipina teens he was married to had divorced him, filed restraining orders, and gotten to keep full custody of their anchor babies. (Both of them remarried yonger, nicer guys.) Eventually my bank filed a restraining order barring him from the premises. At coprporate HQ, where I worked, he called all the time, demanding our restraining order be lifted. My managers nicknamed him "Mr. Creepy". Not a clever handle, but very VERY apt.
Of course, in Korea, these men would be far less likely to gain paraiah status, their wives wouldn't stand a chance in divorce or domestic abuse proceedings, and there are most likely no saintly, pro-bono Korean lawyers waiting in the wings to go to bat for them. Not that I'm saying there's anything wrong with this country; such a statement would be racist. |

The Middle East has horrible stories as well about employers who take on Filipina employees. While many are legit, there are some that think of filipina maid as potential service-provider of the other kind. |

Why the hell would someone from the Phillipines look for work in the middle east? Most of those countries aren't much better than the Phillipines, when it comes to the living conditions and pay of the general populace. |
