This place opened a few months ago. Never had a chance to check it out until this weekend. It's in Hyehwa, across the street from the Starbucks.
1) No ketchup is used
2) Moderate prices ($12-15) for a linen table cloth restaurant
3) Actually good tasting pasta
All 'n' all a good date restaurant. |

A few months ago? It's been there at least a year, and it's definately worth it for the smell of brick oven bread alone. The pizza is the real deal.

Always good to have another Italian restaurant on the menu. I walked past that place every day for weeks without trying it out since I figured it was going to be more of the usual fusion bullshit.
The real question is, is it better than Dimatteos? (sp?) |

Really? A year goes by like the space of a few months here. Oish. Yeah the bread side isn't bad either. |

It'd be nice to find an "Italian" restaurant in Seoul that actually serve Italian food, not just pasta and pizza. |

whatever, no one wants authentic cuisine....people want 'amercanized', 'canadianised' or 'britishised' ethnic cuisine. i'm sure most people have never had pasta fagioli (real pasta fagioli) or a spedini in their lives. |

Try Popolarita in 서래마을, the "French district" near Seocho station (Line 2). It's really tasty and has meat dishes as well as excellent pasta (I didn't taste the pizza). My friend who lived in Italy for a year says it's the best Italian in Seoul. |

Hey! Why did the link to the restaurant's website just disappear for the post above?? Could you PM it to me or let me have some directions? Thanks. |

yeah, i know. some people do. but i do believe that people don't have to be so hard on koreans for 'fusing' cuisine with what the korean palate wants....it happens in every country. so sometimes when people say they don't want korean (insert ethnic food here) they want real (insert) that they actually want american/british/whatever (insert ethnic food) |
