the classes during week are 50,000 per month and the weekend classes are 70,000 for the whole semester. I heard that the classes are quite nice. I'm going for the weekend ones for sure.

Dear townsfolk of Suwon,
I am contemplating a job in your milieu! Could you please be so kind as to give me an idea of how fast it will be to get from Suwon to Seoul center. How fast by bus? Can you take a taxi, or is that too far? What is thee fare? What about a subway/balloon/horse and carriage/or other means of conveyance? I will repay your kind information with an amazing prize!

That is all!

What do you consider to be "Seoul Center"...by Korail to Seoul Station- 3300-7500 depending on train (KTX, Sammuel, Munghwa) and 30-45 mins. By Subway to Itaewon (3 transfers) 1700 won and approximately 1 hr 15 min to 1 hr and 30 mins. I haven't taken a taxi into Seoul but I would think 25-40K, it cost 20K to get from middle of Anyang City to my apartment in Suwon when I was adopting some cats, so you'd have to ask but be prepared to pay.

you can also take a bus (7001 and 7000 go to Sadang station and 3001 and 3007 go to Gangnam) for only 1800 won one way and it takes about 30-40 minutes.

So you want to party before your birthday not after? Smile

I might be able to do something have plans with a new friend but he might be willing to tag along. What area of town did you want to meet in? Aren't you in Ingye-dong as well? We could go to one of the bars behind HomePlus.

It's weird if we do this it seems like HomePlus is the touchstone/homebase for meet-ups...we might have to get more creative. Very Happy

I am close to the Suwon Sports Complex, not Suwon World Cup Stadium. There is a VIPS right across the street from it. There is a Home Plus right down the street from there. Are we talking about the same Home Plus ?

I posted this in the other thread, but...

Does anyone know how to get to the YMCA (for Korean classes) from Suwon station? I live in Songtan so I'm not that familiar with Suwon...

Thanks,
JTC

If you are coming from Songtan, stop at seryu station and get bus 64 on same side of station. It takes you to youngtong YWCA. If you get off at suwon station, take bus 5. Ask driver to let you know where YWCA is because its a little hard to see from the road. I hope I remembered it right?

Yeah after mine was stolen I was real neurotic about making sure mine was where I put it. I'm still leery about checking on it if I'm in a crowded space. Very Happy

Well since it's Mr.Crowley's birthday that he wants to meet for this weekend I guess we need to see when he can meet and then plan accordingly. Paul have you heard from Kate (she was at the last meeting). Do you think she'd like to come to this one?
