I'm curious about teaching at an SAT test prep academy. How do you guys teach your classes? Run through practice tests/ do practice runs? I heard that a Korean teacher will take the test here, and then later that day, the student (who is in the US) takes the version that was administered in Korea, and the teacher will supply the student with the answers. |

There have been some pretty major (and shameful) scandals in Korea, including some hagwons who had inside information about which test would be administered and actually got copies of the test beforehand. An entire test was canceled in Korea for this reason. A lot of my students (who studied hard and honestly) had to re-take the test a couple months later, in fact.
As for teaching it, I used to work for a place that had in-house materials, and I made some stuff of my own as well (and now write some materials for them). |
