Well if that's the case, you can leave the thread and don't come to the meet ups. This thread is for those who like the town or at least want to meet other people to hang out with.

I haven't heard from her this week actually. I called her on Sunday to explain why I wasn't there, but she wasn't home. I'll call her tomorrow and see if she's interested in this Sat.

Well since it's Mr.Crowley's birthday that he wants to meet for this weekend I guess we need to see when he can meet and then plan accordingly. Paul have you heard from Kate (she was at the last meeting). Do you think she'd like to come to this one?

[quote="Samantha"][Yeah after mine was stolen I was real neurotic about making sure mine was where I put it. I'm still leery about checking on it if I'm in a crowded space. Very Happy/quote]

I've been the same way with the new wallet...and the only thing I have in the wallet is a new bank card....losing a wallet sucks to begin with..losing it in a foriegn country is a real bitch.
On that note, have you gone through the process of getting a new ARC? Speaking to my boss today, it seems like a very easy process, although I'm sure when I actually get down to immigration it'll turn into a typical Korean headache! Wink

I went there this morning...a zoo. Smile Got there later than I intended after having a dipshit of a driver. My boss said just tell the driver "Immigration" and they'll take you there. Not bloody likely. Rolling Eyes It cost me almost 10K to get there and 6K to get home. On the way home I had a decent driver. Best directions to tell the driver...Suwon Bus Terminal. Cross the street and head into the Office. You need the second floor. Get there as early as possible like 745-8am and be prepared to wait. You need 10K for the basic fee and 4K to have it mailed to you if you don't want to wait. You have to have your passport as well (I think). You need two (2) passport size photos. Fill out the form, check #2 at the top for reissuance/replacement. I don't know how long it takes to get it replaced. I didn't have the time to stick around and wait. By the time I got there and got a number there were 190+ people waiting in line ahead of me, I got there around 1030 +/-. If you get done relatively early the bus terminal has an Emart with a very good food court in it. That's also where you can grab a taxi back. They didn't appear to stop anywhere but in front of Emart.

I don't know if that helps. Smile

This weekend sounds awesome, preferably Saturday night. I hardly know anything about getting around around here or really any way to describe where I am, LOL. But if there is a good description of where the place we are meeting is, I can get some other folks to help me. I hope we meet up! It would be fun to finally meet some other people from this board.

It looks like it'll just be myself going here, so you can update the list to:

Samantha +1
PBEnglish (just me)
Mr. Crowly
High Treason.

As for times and places, let's see what the consensus is. Personally, I'm partial to Youngtong Homeplus as it's easier to get to for those who don't know the area well, but it's a matter of what everyone thinks.

That's what I'm hearing too...my boss has made an appointment for me on Monday morning and apparently with an appointment it's a simple matter of going in, forking over the cash and leaving.
Certainly makes things easier than just showing up and waiting with a ticketed number.

Are non-Suwonites allowed? If the weather stays clear, I might be going there this weekend.

So do we have an idea of a location? Yongtong Homeplus and then to the Wa Bar or Now Bar? They were pretty decent the last weekend.

So updated list (tentative I think)
