|
|
Well I have a friend coming to visit me in Seoul on quite short notice, and she plans to stay in Korea for THREE WEEKS. Needless to say she expects me to take her around Korea and show her the best this country has to offer.
But first, she needs a place to stay in those three weeks and the only place I've found to have decent all around accommodations for relatively cheap was the namsan guest house near Korea University. Anyone know of any other place that would be make for a decent stay for three weeks?
And as far as sightseeing, I've thought of some palaces, namsan tower, take her on a boat ride, maybe go to everland, shopping at various locations like gangnam, myungdong, dongdaemun, hongdae, insadong, drinking/she want to go to clubs also though I don't particularly like them.
Further ideas would be much appreciated! |

Suwon Folk Village (that's an all day affair)
Hwasong Fortress (very cool, but do it on a day when it's not so hot!)
Han River cruise (I've only done it at night, and it was beautiful!)
Cheonggyecheon
War Memorial of Korea (another all day thing. I've been several times, and still haven't seen it all.)
Definitely do Insadong. My brother was here in April, went to Insadong on the first day, and wanted to go back again and again.
Palaces.. they're always fun. |

Even if you can't go with her, she should really see Gyeongju. I'm sure you could find some kind of tour or something to send her on if she doesn't want to go it alone. Gyeongju is probably my favorite touristy place in Korea. Beautiful mountains, temples, and all kinds of historical stuff. |

If she's a beach person - take her to Sokcho in Gangwon-do for a couple days. Just did a weekend vacation there for about 80,000 won for bus, food and hotel. |
