Hey Everyone,

I have spent the past three weeks trying to find a job in central Seoul. I have been working with recuriters but all they keep offering me is Daejon, Incheon as well as schools that are blacklisted.

In an attempt to find a good school in the middle of Seoul (It doesn't have to be in the heart of Seoul - 30 minutes away from the Itaewon would be fine) I have decided to advertise my services.

I know I will cope a barrage and a half and it's probably warranted but I'll do it anyway. If this doesn't work then I will post my resume on the job board.

I taught in Bundang for nearly 2 years at a great little school. I know how hard it is to find a reliable, professional teacher that you can rely on. I helped my director find my replacement when I left and it was a nightmare. The amount of unsuitable candidates we had to sift through was lengthy. When we thought we found a good one, she did a runner and the school lost half of their students which single handedly undid all of the hard work I had put in over the duration of my contract.

If your school is looking for a teacher and you genuinely want to help them find someone reliable and professional then pm me. I have a good resume, am young (26) and my previous director will give me a terrfic verbal reference. I am a New Zealander but I have no noticeable accent to speak of. I have two years experience and I actually do like kids!

An added benefit of doing it this way, is that your boss will save the million won that would normally go to a recruiter. Bonus!

So please pm me if you are interested.

Thank you.

I can see if my one place needs someone, if you are on e-2 you will get 2.4 million a month for 4 teaching hours a day and you have Friday off, you would be working for Seoul government teaching in a special program at dong offices. If you have an f-2-1 visa you would get 3 million.

My boss asked me to keep an eye out for fellow NZers who might be interested in coming over in Nov. Interested? We're in Suwon a 45-60 minute express ride from central Seoul. It's not in stone though that the position will be available, but I can find out. Cool school I'm at, but Shaunew's option also sounds terrific. I think you'd get 2.2 million. The area is lovely, too.
Good success finding a nice position, you sound like you have an excellent attitude, shouldn't be a problem. By the way, I used Kim's Korea and they found me exactly what I wanted.
