Not saying its bad. But what compels gyopos who live in the USA, Canada, Australia, or where ever else, to post on Daves?
Im not including gyopos who live in Korea... that one I can understand. |

My guess is they're desperate for the attention from white girls that they can't get in America or Canada. How many American or Canadian white/black girls do you see with Asian guys compared with the number of Asian girls you see with white/black guys? Not many. |

yeah, you might be right in some cases.
but what about the gyopo women who post here... misseoul, for example (well, now a bunch of people are going to say misseoul is a 50 year old white guy... but lets just pretend she's not)?
To me... it just seems strange. I can't imagine, as an expat in Korea, trying to find a message board for Koreans who immigrated to America, like "Lee's KSL Homepagee," getting on there, and reading and responding to their discussions about life in America.... For one thing, it seems like that would just be sooo boring after awhile... (wow, hamburgers. why do they eat hamburgers? strange...) |

I'd like to know what compels foreigners who live in the USA, Canada or else where to post on Dave's. We've got a lot more of those. People who are coming back or for the first time I can understand...but once you've left for good why come back and re-fight old battles? |

no.. im not talking about your ethicity.... thats why I said I can understand gyopos who live in Korea..... In a way, the conservative is right. why would ANYONE who is not IN KOREA be posting so much here? I just brought up gyopos not in Korea because 1)Korea is their home country to begin with, so maybe its different for them, somehow and 2) there seem to be alot of gyopos not in Korea who post on Dave's; more than the number of people who are white and not in Korea. I dont know... can u name a former expat of Korea who still comes on here all the time? I can't think of a single one. I guess I see an occasional post or two from a non-repeat customer, but thats about it.... But I can name at least 5 America-residing gyopos who are Dave's regular posters. |

I think I'm a regular poster here. I can relate to many of the topics here because I lived in Korea for 19 years. It's fun to suggest a bit different ideas as a person who was raised as a Korean and can speak Korean as his mother tongue. Also, it's often just plain funny. The humor some people display.

If you speak Korean well and the message board is very active with lots of members, it will seem a bit different. Some people learning Korean have asked me where they can find interesting Korean forums. Discussing in forums is pretty helpful for improving your language skills after you've reached a certain level. I must say I learned a lot of expressions on Dave's.
By the way, are there really SO MANY GIOCs on this board?

Any reccomendations? Also, I suppose it would have to be a site that doesn't require a national ID number. |

ok, this is a fair answer...
Yeah, if you consider there are like 30-40 regular Dave's posters and maybe 5 of em are GIOCs, it seems like alot.... |

I can see why a lot of Gyopos would find it interesting, as many are probably thinking about the idea of coming to Korea for an extended visit or to work for a while, and would like to get more than their relatives' perspective. I think it's great to get their take on things, and many have interesting comments, though a few can be annoying, particularly those who think they're fool us on what Koreans or Korea's 'really like'. Um, we're the last group of non-Koreans you're ever going to fool, people. |

I may not agree with some of their views, but I appreciate them nonetheless.
And I've actually learned some things too. |

I think it comes from some frustrations. They have some kind of insecurities, and when they see us teaching on their "turf" they want to put in their two cents worth to pay back all the times they were rejected by white people. Most gyopos have it in for white guys, I think some of it could come from the treatment they got in school, but maybe it could come from frustrations from not being able to get the good looking white girls while the white guys always get the good looking asian girls. |

So Mercury, who's this good looking Korean girl you're dating?
Do you even have a girlfriend? |
