I would have to disagree with racism in Canada. Sure, it exists, but it isn't that common.

Our spineless government lets people come into the country and start dictating what we do in schools, in workplaces, etc. Immigrants felt a backlash. And rightly so.

Exactly!

America is known around the world as the land of opportunity and of the land of freedom. America is the most admired and respected country in the world. America is the world's role model of success and greatness. All other countries inspire to be like America and seek to learn and copy how things are done in America. The world knows so much about America and are fans of her pop culture. Foreigners from all around the world believe in and wish to have the "American Dream."

This compares with Canada which is not known as the land of opportunity and freedom. Canada is not admired or respected around the world. In fact, people often talk of Canada as still being a colony of the United Kingdom (is't that the British Queen on Canadan money. Sad. Wink ). No other country looks to Canada as a role model or inspires to be like Canada or trys to learn and copy how things are done in Canada. In fact, most of the world knows nothing about Canada except that they are right next to the US and that they are a colony of England. The world knows nothing of Canada's culture. No one ever talks about a "Canadian Dream," and as shown by evidence that I have earlier posted on this thread, many immigrants who immigrate to Canada are learning the hard way that it does not exist. And this disappointment is causing Canada to have an international reputation as a place that denys opportunity and discriminates against others.

Canada is lucky in that it is so close to America and so it can easily learn from America. Other countries wish they were as lucky. And I speak the truth.

Very Happy

Do you have a fake degree? There's no way you went to university. Your ignorance is laughable. Reading your post is akin to watching one of those "Be all that you can be" Army commercials, or listening to "And I'm proud to be an American". You've really swallowed all the propaganda they feed Americans. What you've argued would be laughed at in any country outside of the U.S.

Probably the majority of Americans would believe what you've said, at least about America. Talk to ex-pat Americans, and most will tell you they had a rude awakening when they left the States and found out all the propaganda was just that, propaganda.

Half the time, the girls are Americans too.

One time in my final year of university, 10 of us went to a strip bar near Niagara Falls, Sundowners. The one girl asked us where we were from, so we told her Waterloo. She came back with "Welcome to Canada." So, we told her Waterloo was in Canada, so she said, "Oh, then welcome to Ontario." Waterloo is about an hour drive from Niagara Falls. Obviously she wasn't from North of the border.

Nice!

This one definitely goes down in record as one of the biggest "I have no idea what I'm talking about/I'm an idiot/I'm a lame troll" posts ever on Dave's.

Definitely one to be remembered.

You can often tell who is a Canadian by who is bashing America. Many Canadians love to bash America. Bashing America is part of the mainstream culture in Canada. So many Canadians get brainwashed by the mainstream anti-American culture of Canada and so become full-time America bashers. It's the truth.

If you ever spend much time with Canadians, particularly if you have gone up and lived among them in their country, you will discover a people that have an identity crisis. They are wantabee Brits and will praise England ("London is the greatest city in the world," etc.). After all, they still have the Queen of England as their head-of-state (and whom still has legal power). One would think that the head-of-state of Canada would at least be a Canadian. And they are haters of America and want everyone to know that they are not American. In their attempt to prove that they are not American they will bash America. But in reality Canadians are so much more similiar to Americans then they are to Brits.

It is this identity crisis of being a wantabee Brit and wanting to prove that they are not American that is the Canadian national character. The Canadian mainstream culture of being anti-America is quite sad. It really is. You might find a Vietnamese guy whose brother got killed by the American military during the Vietnam War, and that guy will say: "I have no hatred toward the US or the American people." And yet you will find Canadians who never suffered a single harm from America and yet who will have such venom of hatred toward America that it boggles the mind as to why this Canadian hates America so much. I speak the truth.
