Looks like its #2. As a civilian, I'm not happy about that either.

Copters do simply break down. Pilots do make mistakes. Sadly, this administration lies about/covers up virtually everything (Abu Graihb, Tillman, that female soldier's "rescue", etc., etc.). We already know they plant "news" with the MSM; we know they cover up and/or scapegoat low level soldiers for any scandall.. so it is entirely possible they are lying about how these copters go down to minimize the bad press. But it adds to the question of the military being stretched too thin, depending on the rate of crashes and the quality of maintenance. As with any compulsive liar, at some point you are forced to disregard anything they say unless confirmed by other sources.

Now you are talking like a Marine.

Whether you are happy about it or not is neither here nor there. I suggest you do something about the technology and engineering if you want to play the activist's part on this problem -- which probably dates as far back as the Korean Conflict, when we first employed them in warfare. A lot of people are very concerned about this, too. Take the Osprey, for example.

Just a wild guess, but I'll bet the families of those who died in the crash also remember and will continue to care far more than your false concern belies.

And don't you know, all who volunteer for military service just can't wait to say goodbye to their loved ones, jump into a chopper or tank or personnel carrier and head out into the hot sand action? Didn't you know that Tilman left the NFL because it wasn't exciting enough for him any more?

News Flash: military campaigns usually do result in loss of human life. It's as predictable as your snide and wilfull posting.
