To make a long story short I was hired at a university and then given a leave because my dad was sick. the whole thing happend pretty fast and the university really wanted to hire me for March, even though I would not start teaching until Fall. My guess is that they needed to meet some quota. Anyway I applied for my e-2 at home and so on. Since the university in their paper work stated that I started in Sping practically speaking I should have already had my alien card. As well all know, you are supposed to register in 90 days. I did not do that, but just came in. Now my boss is saying there is a fee for coming in late. When he first told me about it, the fee was 200 W now it has gone to over 350,000 W. I went into the immigration by myself and the immigration officer said there was no fee. Granted her English was not great, so there could have been a miscommunication. Is my boss just trying to get money out of me or what?
