Ah.....well, since you have resorted to personal attacks, you just proved that you don't really have anything to go on.......nice job.

I thouht I was quite restrained!

I would recommend checking out the book "Saddam's Secrets", written by Georges Saddas.

No! next you be recommending books by Mark Steyn! I'd rather saw my leg off with a rusty chainsaw.

Quote:
Why is it so hard to believe that Saddam was illegally selling oil to Iran, wanted to contirbue to the destruction of Isreal, and wanted to rule the middle east? If anyone sounds misguided, it would be you.

It is not like the Americans didn't bust a gut trying to link WMDs to Saddam and fail. All the world leaders including dubya's favourite pet monkey Tony Bliar have admitted that there were no WMDs in Iraq but the invsion was still 'just' so I'm dealing with substansiated fact.

Quote:
Anywya, it was documented, but do you really thing the far left media would want to circulate it? NO, they would not because it would not make Bush look bad.

It might have been documented but it was later to be found out as wrong and all the main players have admitted to it.

Quote:
In regards to talking to my father about his experience and opinions of the Vietnman War, you are assuming that it was not objective, nor did I ask objective questions.

No, but your dad isn't here. Thus it is your opinion on display here and thus has equal relevance to mine.

Quote:
I asked a family memember about this topic......about American soldiers being "beat down". The response I received, from someone who was young and informative about those times, was that the the U.S. military was not allowed to do its full job. They had one hand tied behind thier back, and were not able to do what they needed to do.......because it was declared a "conflict", not a war.

More bombs were dropped on Vietnam than in any war before or since, what were th US armed forces refrained from doing?

Quote:
Furthermore, is was not only the U.S. that knew Saddam had WMD's, it was Britian, France and Germany (and a few other European powers). In fact, Britian and the U.S. shared intelligence data on the matter.

France wanted the UN inspectors to be left alone to do their job. for some reason the Americans wanted to invade Iraq NOW and unfairly sleighted the French as cowards and 'surrender monkeys' outrageous.

Unfortuneatly we don't have politicians who listen to the people who put them into power rather they listen to their masters in Washington. I envy the French, I really do.

Quote:
I gotta go, but we will continue this later............that is, unless you can refrain from purposely attacking my character?

I'll have to sit this one and gonna have to agree to disagree as I'm going to talk about Ali and Fraizer! Cheers! Very Happy

But Ali got up to finish that round.

A big beatdown was Fraizer getting KO'D off George Foreman, he went down 7 times in 2 rounds!

Another one was Gery Cooney KO'ing Ken Norton in a round.

hahaha! I just watched both of those and laughed my arse off. He gave that stupid sky reporter hell - she sounded almost panicked at times! And what he said at the end summed it up perfectly. And it was excellent the way he stood up to Paxman. Paxman is such a pompous w@nker. I used to like him until he did that interview with Blair in the run up to the Iraq war, and let Blair get away with far far too much. If he'd done his job a bit better there might have been more opposition towards this awful bloody disaster we got ourselves embroiled in. I loved it when Paxman was saying "You don't know their (the labour MPs) names?" And Georgy Porgy said of course he didn't, they were such a spineless supine bunch... Too right. I was disgusted at the way they all fell into line.

Shame he went and got himself tainted with scandal - it makes it much easier for the press to dismiss him now. Confused

How he wreaked havoc at sky news accusing them of biased reporting was ace as was Galloway making Paxman congratulate him for winning the Bethanl green and bow seat from Oona King was just class. Most people would have lost their rag after Paxman accused them of racism
but Galloway held his fire and made Paxman look like the clueless, blustering halfwit that he is.

The cat impersination with Rula Lenska didn't do him much good but I love Galloway, he is the only politician worth anything.

Vietnam versus the US.

Vietnam- 5 million + dead
USA- 54,000 dead

Vietnam- still one of the worlds poorest countries
USA- lone superpower and very wealthy

There are huge amounts of hookers and homeless children beggars in Vietnam. People have no freedom and less money. Any American guy can go to Vietnam and score a beautiful women.
So what did the vietnamese win in 1975? The right to be governed by corrupt and inept commies. Cant really be considered a victory.

Beside the point.

Unlike in American puppet regimes such as the Philippines and the Dominican republic you mean?

You can say that about America, what freedoms does your average uneducated man in the ghetto have?

Wahey! Promoting the superior culture of America to those thick commie gooks through sex tourism! Way to go (as you would say)

They won.

Get over it.

Jersey Joe Walcott won every round against Rocky Marciano but one punch won Rocky Marciano the world title and the previous 12 rounds that went before means zilch in the history books apart from being a small footnote.

Britian has had their arses handed to them by the native peoples of the empire loads of time, we accept it and move on.

You should do the same.

I remember watching that one live.

Joe Carter over Mitch Williams should've been on the list.

You have to be OLD to remember this one.

Gordie Howe (Old Elbows) in his prime over Lou Fontinato on the cover of LIFE Magazine.

Gordie's fist is in Lou's face and Lou's face with Lou's nose literally under the far side of his left eye.

From the Glory days of the Oilers. A final gamem with the Oiler's down by 1, and Moose Messier coming down the ice with fire in his eyes. Described as the most frightening moments in hockey.

The spanking of China's military during their attempted 1979 invasion of Vietnam comes to mind. In a single month 20,000 Chinese military casualities and the destruction of half of China's invading tank force, after which the PLA wisely decided to high-tail it.
