any suggestions on where to stay? I'm there for four days.
Things to do? I like beer. Music....so on

Ru by yourself? Find a cheap hostel, and quick, or you'll pay through the nose for a hotel room.

All by my lonesome for four days in the big city. Looking for hostels around the embassy area....or somewhere it would be cool to stay. Does anyone have any recommendations?

well spliff....I thought that since this is a discussion forum, although I did find some information in another part of this website....I presumed that people would be kind enough to share their experiences going to Tokyo.

I guess, with your case, I was wrong.

oak hotel is cheap. 1,800 for a dorm room. clean. free internet.

k's house is another budget hostel.

they aren't near drinking.

want to party? do an all-nighter in roppongi.

Diglight in Takadanobaba (formerly pub was The Fiddler, if u want to search for it) amd What the Dickens in Ebisu both have a lot of live music..most nights.

It is worth looking at Metropolis on line to check out more places to go. Both of the above stations are on the central Yamanote loop line so easy to access from most places. Baba is a student hangout too, so many cheap places to eat/drink.

Beer is cheapest at an izakaya...Tengu is one.

Good luck and check out the visa run thread for updated details to the consulate in Tokyo.
