I have just been offered a part time job at a secong hagwon. Basically there are 2 conversation classes per day (10 hours a week), 6-8 students in each class (same students each day), upper intermediate-advanced adults, 25000 won/hr. Theres no set curriculum but they said I can choose to use their textbook or use my own materials.

I know I have to get permission from immigration to get a second job etc, and I already have the information on this... Im just wondering if this offer is decent or not???

Any help much appreciated!

Many people will say only work at $35 and above. I think you are out in the country and opportunities like this don't come around much. I say'd go for it.

an extra W1,000,000 is a good deal.

If you want to make an extra 1 million won a month and can get permission from your primary employer who will help you add it to your visa, then go ahead. Other wise, if you did 40 hours a month of privates at 50K an hour, assuming it's legal, then you would get 2 million Won per month. If you don't have privates and you want to make the extra money, I would say, go for it.

Me, I value my time off as I am already am working a full-time teaching schedule for my 2 million won a month salary so I don't seek extra work as I am pooped out. If you can handle this much work or have a very light schedule at your full-time job like typical in public school jobs, then it's all about making more money.
