well ladies. i dunno about you, but life in korea can definitely affect one's weight. maybe you've lost a lot of weight eating all that good-for-ya kimchi and rice, maybe you've packed on a few pounds pining for home. or maybe you're just desperate for a change of wardrobe.
i propose a clothing swap! i have a ton of clothes that i can't wear anymore, as well as stuff i'm just totally sick of. i just got back from a visit home and did a major shop, now i've got a pile of clothes i really don't need. i know i'm not the only one in this situation.
i'm willing to have people over to my place, however i live in anyang, which isn't exactly close to the centre of things. it is pretty easy to get there though, i'm super close to the subway. of course, if someone has a spacious, well-appointed pad somewhere more central and would like to host, then don't let me stop you!
how does saturday, september 15 sound to you? then we can all go out and hot up the town in our new (to us) clothes!
of course, if you've got other stuff to get rid of too ~ books, dvd's, household stuff, whatever ~ feel free to bring it along. whatever doesn't get swapped will be donated to charity.
don't even try to swap your panties.
bring a snack and/or drinks if you like.
pm me for details.

I like this idea!

I have some things I ordered online that just don't fit, or turned out not to be my style at all. It would be great to trade them instead of letting them just sit in the closet.

If people were looking for a more central location, I might be able to offer my apt in Haebangchon (just down the road from Itaewon). I'd have to ask my boyfriend first, though... RSS, when people get back to you on it, let me know if you think that might be a good idea, and I'll pose the question. Smile If not, Anyang is definitely cool. Not too far.

Count me in...have just arrived and gave away most of my stuff before I left, but am sure I can find something to offer for swops.

I don't have a phone or net connection as yet so a pm would be good when final arrangements are made.

Cheers ladies.

All right guys, I'll see what the boy has to say about letting us use the apt that day. I'm pretty sure it'll be fine, but I'll let you know what he says.

Great idea! I think most of the clothes I have to get rid of are really ugly things my mom sent me, but who knows?! Maybe somebody has the same taste as my mom!

I'll go.

I'm going to purge my work clothes before the baby comes. I want to only keep pre-baby clothes around that I love, to motivate me to get back into shape asap.

Do it at Orange Tree in HBC on a weekend afternoon.
