Well, would you?

One of my co-workers showed up at work today with scratches on his face. He had surgery recently and still uses crutches to get around. He was beat up in Itaewon last Saturday by a 'fellow North American'.

I don't know the full story yet, but even if he was being obnoxious, would anyone beat up a guy on crutches?

Has the ESL community sunk THAT low?

My initial reaction is...who but a scumbag would beat up a guy on crutches for any reason?

I wouldn't seek it out.. but then again, being on crutches does not give one license to be a butt-head.

I'm guessing your bud was a victim, but I've seen many people that were "not in the best condition" use it.

I could see it happening, but only if there was a very very good reason, ie he replaced my wife with a clone just before I married her.

So true. Some people use a disability or apparent weakness as an excuse to be an asshole. Remember the old 'you wouldn't hit someone with glasses' idea?

But someone would have to do something pretty serious. And I would be more likely just to shove him down.

If he called himself something loserish and pathetic as 'the man known as the man', then yeah, no questions asked I would.
