In the past week I have come across two Korean-Americans in news stories.
I like to share these sorts of things with students. And I would like to share them with you.
One was Assistant Attorney General Wan J. Kim, who was already mentioned here:

This is an article from the New York Times magazine section, which is long and very well written. You may need to register with the Times to read it. Registration is free.
Seo is one of a small group of people who have been in the vanguard in attempting to predict the real costs of natural disasters, such as hurricanes. Apparently, the insurance industry had its head in the sand until these people came along. It is a very interesting article.
There are plenty more Korean-Americans like this. It is nice to point them out to balance out the other recent stories, such as sad Korean cleaners lawsuit fiasco, and the VT shooting.
