I read what you wrote, then I went back and read what Steve wrote and now I can say without any doubt....

I AGREE! Evil or Very Mad

Steve and I will continue to disagree because he reads my comments and for some strange reason decides to twist them into some bizarre rant bemoaning the horrors of every conceivable thing that has anything to do with Black people. I'm surprised he didn't manage to take a shot at Black History Month.

I suppose he enjoys flaming an entire race of people in such a underhanded way. If so then the joke is squarely on him, "STEVE THE ALL CONQURING FIGHTER FOR BLACKS TAKING REPONSIBILITY FOR THEMSELVES" anonymously from behind a keyboard in south korea somewhere of course, you go girlfriend! fight the power!

Allow me to step forward and provide an explanation that is decidedly not politically correct.

Chances of looting in the U.S. increase...

...the farther from the Midwest farm belt the city is AND/OR:

...the larger the city is AND/OR:

...the less educated the populace is AND, but usually OR:

...the more blacks live in the affected area.

The truth hurts.

Racism hurts. Your repeated racist comments suck, though they definitely have helped an unknown, but likely large, number of people learn to not take you seriously.

What?!

Tony Baloney tossing out racially-motivated flame-bait and Steve-o and BJWD picking it up and swinging it around?!

It's so out of character! Say it ain't so!

Why don't you, fat man, address the content of my post. Point by point. See if you are able to formulate an argument beyond comic book guy type one liners that aren't even slightly funny. You are a lifelong esl loser. Not a comic. Now. My post.

Quote:
The looting in New Orleans actually started before Katrina hit, when most businesses had boarded up and their owners left the city. In addition, looting was done almost only by blacks. Mexicans, who are a fairly large chunk of the city (10%, if I remember correctly) didn't participate. Black police and firefighters did (instead of doing their jobs when they were needed most).

There are structural reasons that blacks behave the way they do. I'd say the war on drugs is #1 (the criminalization and educating as criminals of black men). Lets deal with these issues. Of course. BUT, can we please not pretend that they don't do what they do? Being honest isn't being a bigot. But the racism of low expectations is bigotry.

They looted because they are a permanent underclass prone to criminality. America needs to deal with why they are a permanent underclass instead of hiding all the crime they commit. It is no different in Canada with the Native Canadians. Not different at all (less raw numbers). We have very serious problems to deal with. Hiding the consequences of failed policy only hurts them.

A touch longer than a comic book, I know. But the theme is that Blacks are structurally kept out of prosperity and this is why they have higher crime rates.

Challenge this position or *beep* off.

I get a spate of retorts to my most recent post, all ad hominem attacks. It only serves to demonstrate that my points of contention are unassailable, at least to the apologists for the status quo on this forum who can't see the forest for the trees.

By why should I be surprised? Bill Cosby donated tens of millions to historically black colleges for two decades, did community outreach work through all his TV shows starting with Fat Albert and then he has the audacity to lament the current state of black America--that is, among a significant number of blacks--and he is accused of being irrelevant, an Uncle Tom, and worse.

It is precisely this kind of knee-jerk reaction that prevents community uplift from reaching new heights. Even those who are black are held in suspicion the moment they make a contrary observation.

Look in the mirror guys if you want to see part of what causes this malaise to linger and fester.

And keane, at least be man enough to admit you're also ELFT.

I realize, of course, it's difficult for leftists to show any spine.

Every year hundreds of thousands of Asians, most with meager means, immigrate to America in search of a better future. But no one needs to describe them as a permanent underclass because they don't seek victimhood and false sympathy. They don't wallow in pathos and political hype. They start small businesses, they network with their own kind, they work overtime and they thrive. They expect their children to get an education and not become parents until they're married and even though most speak English as a second language, they don't whine about a lack of bilingual access the way so many illegal Latino immigrants do.

Sorry, but the old refrain of the Marxist chorus that it's all about economics just doesn't wash anymore.

Finally, as you should know from my earliest posts to this board, I spent a decade by choice teaching and living in the inner city in a predominantly black high school, so go point your finger at someone else.

Ah, so you deigned to attempt to train the savages, did you? Obviously scarred by the experience. I wish I were joking.

Read some Freire. It might help you sort this out.

As for BJ? Anyone who uses "they" without ANY kind of modifying word or term to indicate the truth is engaging in racist tripe. His overly-defensive and rule-breaking post above openly lends credence to this. "They" do not loot. Some people loot. Some people of all colors.

Was that a Freudian slip? Still associating blacks with savages, keane? Must have some repressed feelings there. Read some Freud. It might help you sort this out.

I know you're not joking; you're just a joke.
