OK, look on the bright side.

You've got two uncontrollable, vicious cats.

No one is going to burglarize your apartment, at least no Korean.

Because you've own the dreaded Korean guard cats.

But to protect yourself from potential lawsuits, you need to put up a warning sign outside your home: "Beware of the cats." In English and in Korea, of course.

Maybe you should encourage them.

And it could be worse. Much worse.

You could have two bored cats.

This can be very difficult and expensive to treat.

If all else fails, leave your front door unlocked and order a pizza.

Just put them on the grill for a couple of minutes with the lid on. When it starts to stink of singed hair, pop 'em out and throw 'em off the balcony to the neighbor's dog. Should run a treat.

I assume there is humor in these posts, but you should not feed a cat potatoes or chocolate. It's not surprising he is having bowel/behavioral problems.

A healthy, well-adjusted cat would die before going to the bathroom anywhere but a litter box or other appropriate spot. When they go on a favorite shirt, or as one clever but neurotic cat did a long time ago, on the stove burners, they are trying to tell you something: they think you are a jerk.

This is why excessive discipline of cats is a bad idea: they get revenge.

Potatoes are not cat food, nor are tomatoes or pepper, or kimchi, and could cause behavioral problems. Chocolate could cause permanent damage. Do a check on the internet for good and bad things to feed a cat. And never, ever, ever feed a cat onions. Garlic is OK, though. Also, never give a cat or dog xylitol, which is birch sugar. they can digest it, and it can cause permanent damage.

If you have a pet, educate yourself. There's plenty of info on the web these days. But a book or two about cats, or dogs. Read them.

The rest is simple: Take good care of them. Love them. Feed them right.

Just because food tastes good does not mean it is healthy, for cats or people. The difference is that for cats, the wrong food can cause liver or kidney damage.

There are genetic differences in cats' taste buds. I have had some cats with a sweet tooth. They thought cantaloupe of honeydew melon was better than lobster or catnip! Try some melon with your cats, the yellow ones or watermelon, or even banana or apple. There are healthy sweets you can give them.

If you are giving your cats candy, again, make sure it does not have xylitol in it. Xylitol is harmless for humans, but not for cats. Look it up on wikipedia.

Do some research on chocolate and cats. It is universally agreed that chocolate is dangerous.

I sometimes gave one of my cats a tiny piece of white chocolate, though.

I had a cat who died of old age, which led to kidney damage. Believe me, you do not want to have a loved cat die of kidney damage. It was one of the hardest things I have ever experienced in my life. But he always dragged himself to the litter box. He is the one I vowed to never get angry at or hit. He was an extraordinary cat.

Spending time with your cats. Bored cats become destructive cats. I had always thought that cats were pretty independent, but indoor cats (as most are here in Korea) get bored quickly. They thrive on attention and love from humans, and if they can't find something to do, they'll go looking for somethng, usually something that they are not supposed to do.

Our family has always had cats. so when i came to Korea and a wee street cat "chose" me, I took her in without a second thought But lordy, she is the strangest and craziest cat i've ever met. Perhaps this is a Korean cat trait, perhaps its because she was abandoned as a kitten, who knows. The spray-bottle trick doesn't work with her , if anything, she gets angrier and then when I am not looking, she bites me in revenge.
anyway, buy a Cat -Dancer toy : its a piece of bouncy, bendy wire with a feather on the end. Cats go nuts over these.
also, invest in one of those laser pointers. my cat LOVES chasing the red laser dot around the room. and its hilarious because she slides like crazy on the fake-wooden Korean flooring.

You could keep the in a cage and fatten them right up for a big feast. But beware. Those cats are pretty sly. When you ask them to hold out their paws to check their plumpness, they might hold out a chicken bone.
