My notebook wouldnt start up (windows wouldnt load) and kept giving me an error message
Took it to the A/S center and they said they have to replace the hard disk...
Do they mean the harddrive?
Does this mean that all my files and stuff on my notebook would be lost forever?

Yep...hard disk is the hard drive. All will be lost unless you get them to transfer the files over for you, if they can. Try to get the hard drive back...maybe buy a 2.5" enclosure and do some data recovery on it. |

I was damn stupid not to back it up in the first place, seeing that I have an external harddrive:( |

you'll have to pay an extra 200,000, depending on the size of your HD to recover the files if your HD is defective. you must also give them another HD to copy the files onto.
A normal A/S has to send this HD to seoul to get this done. |
