Hi there,
I am looking for music that is not available on torrents or bearshare etc. But I have found the music on many pay mp3 sites.
Can anyone recommend a mp3 download site that is cheap and wont take $4000 dollars out my bank account?
I was looking at http://mp3shake.com/en/ . Doesn't say they will rip you off, so thats a good sign.
Many thanks. |

Ares.com seems to have everything bizarre that I have ever looked for. Sometimes if something isn't there, i wait until the Earth has turned a little on its axis and try again later. |

Does it have to be mp3's? if you are just looking for music to play on your computer then your best bet is probably iTunes, music from iTunes is in .aac format. If you wanted to put the music on your mp3 player though (other than an ipod) iTunes is no good unless you download some software to convert the files to mp3. |

It's still a free download program, but I use Soulseek religiously. You can find almost anything by using it, and I listen to some pretty non-mainstream music. |

You might want to try eMusic... they have a number of different subscription packages (the basic is 90 downloads a month for about 15 dollars); other options include paying a year in advance, etc.
Most of their music selections are decidedly NON-MAINSTREAM, and they have a HUGE database... |
