WWE suspends 10 for drug, steroid use By JOHN CHRISTOFFERSEN, Associated Press Writer
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - World Wrestling Entertainment has suspended 10 of its wrestlers for violations of a policy that tests for steroids and other drugs, the company said Thursday.
Stamford-based WWE says it issued suspension notices based on independent information from the prosecutor's office in Albany County, N.Y., which has been investigating illegal steroid sales.
Neither the WWE nor the Albany County district attorney's office would comment on the suspended wrestlers' identities Thursday. No criminal charges were filed, they said. |

So...who do you think the 10 are? It might be pretty hard to guess since there are 160 wrestlers currently in the WWE...
I can guess at least 5
Bobby Lashley
Batista
Kane
Umaga
Randy Orton |

Not too sure about the last 3, but Bobby Lashley and Batista just have to be on that list. They look like roid freaks. |

That would be awesome if all this was kayfabe. There was no steroid scandal and they were just playing this whole thing up, and Benoit was really hiding with his family in a resort somewhere until McMahon decided to resurrect them somehow. |

MAJOR NEWSPAPER NAMES WWE WRESTLERS THAT WERE CLIENTS OF ONLINE PHARMACY BUSTED FOR DISTRIBUTING STEROIDS AND OTHER DRUGS
by Buck Woodward @ 5:42:36 PM on 8/30/2007
Following WWE's announcement that it has suspended 10 stars for Wellness Policy violations, the New York Daily News has an article online listing the names of WWE stars that were identified as clients of Signature Pharmacy in Orlando, the site raided by law enforcement agencies in February for distributing drugs (including steroids) to clients that had not been examined by doctors.
It is important to note that the list of names in the Daily News article is NOT the list of the ten wrestlers that were suspended today, and is NOT an indication of any illegal actions on their part. This list is simply wrestlers that were clients of the Signature Pharmacy. When we have more information on this story, we will report it.
The eleven names in the article are Randy Orton, Charlie Haas, Adam Copeland (Edge), Robert Huffman (King Booker), Shane Helms, Mike Bucci (the now retired Simon Dean, who is not on the active roster and works in talent development), Anthony Carelli (Santino Marella), John Hennigan (ECW Champion John Morrison), Darren Matthews (William Regal), Ken Anderson (Kennedy) and Chavo Guerrero.

Names mentioned in March in connection with a steroid ring were Kurt Angle (now in TNA), Edge, Rey Mysterio Jr., Shane Helms (The Hurricane), and Randy Orton. Then there are those just mentioned in the post below mine, and there have been rumors about Triple H and Chris Masters.

I don't follow wrestling close enough anymore to make a top 10. There's so much turnover, I don't now who's still around. Thing is, you gotta suspect more than 10 guys on the roster are using . . . they'd probably suspend the 10 they can afford to suspend. Mysterio, Edge, and Randy Orton are all former champs, right? I haven't even heard of Shane Helms, Simon Dean, or Santonio Marella. |

It makes for the future of their ppvs to be pretty bleak, basically running out of guys to make main-eventers. |

You're right CC....I don't know much about it. I just think it just stretches credibility that these men can get that kind of immense size and definition without "help". |

I don't think it will be the larger guys that get busted.
A. They bring in the money.
B. The smaller guys are probably going cycle after cycle.
C. The big guys are big enough that they can stop for a while before the tests. |

Agreed. But I'd put solid money that 99% of the people in that biz have either used, are using, or have used in combination with a whole swack of other things.
If you want to see what a "clean body" looks like, check out drug-tested BB shows.
The guys on TV are all cranked to the nines (not that there's anything wrong with that -at least not in my books). |

Hahah...Thanks. I also like Star Trek and Anime. And I wear glasses...I am a walking stereotype
I made my shortlist in great haste and after reading the comments, I would change them. But to be fair, that story about the doctor in Florida came out MONTHS ago, so I somehow doubt that the people involved in that would necessarily be suspended now. Plus some of the names on that list have been inactive for months due to injury or left the company. So I wouldn't guess Edge or Rey Mysterio. Triple H has definitely been on the juice but he blew out his other knee this year and has been out of action for some time as well (and let's not forget that he's married to the boss's daughter and is the father of the boss's grandchild). But then again, I could be very wrong |

^ Woah, Star Trek is a bit much for me, but if we can agree on a common love of the movie Labryrinth then I think we got something special there. |
