Post your wishes here.
Dear Dave,
I'd really like to see you add an "ignore" function so I can breeze past the posters I find annoying. Sometimes we see good threads killed or deleted because of jerkoffs, but if you added an ignore function - we could forever be rid of those people and their comments. Please Dave, give us an ignore function...it's not that hard is it? A few lines of code, a push of the button...you know the drill brother!
Best Regards,
Superfly dog |

Can't you just poop on their shoes so they won't come back? |

Is there any way that you could comment on a thread without sounding like...

Dear Dave, please make your presence known every once in a while. When posters aren't exercising logic and are clearly participating in a thread only to trivialize serious issues and belittle or provoke people they don't like, can you come down from your mysterious cyber-realm once in a while and say so? Thank you. |

Dear Dave, I wish you could make a Dave's Wall of Shame in which to feature banned users. It would be lovely to see what kind of comeuppance banned users get, the reason they got banned, their IP numbers exposed, and admin comments of why certain banned posters/trolls suck as human beings. It would make for a more civilized world.
Please do this, because in my opinion, quietly and anonymously banning a troll is simply not justice enough. I sincerely hope you hear and fulfill my wish. Thank you Dave.
Sincerely,
MKX

Dear Dave,
Please fix the search function.
And also change the swear filter so that it's more appropriate for grownups, not midwestern kindergarten children.
My friend Dick Cheney wanted me to pass this onto you. |

You just have to be smarter than the average Tom, Dick, or Harry. |

Specifically, allow us to search more than two words at once, have an option for listing by relevance, and allow boolean operators, please. It would also be nice to be able to exclude words that are part of someone's name or location (like I do a search for Daegu nightlife and return everything ever posted by DaeguKid and the eye).
I'm sick of having to use google domain search whenever I want to find something here.
Thank you! |

Dear Dave,
Could you not upgrade your forum software to a more modern one. I understand that the forums software used by ajarnforum.net, teakdoor.com, thaivisa.com susefrorums.com, in fact a vast majroity of forums costs the grand total of $100, it's very secure and has nice features like a working search function, limited avatar size.
I understand that this forum is only meant for people who are interested in living and working in this slightly twisted country but good quality forum software would be nice.
I see that you have updated your home page and it's very nice. Now please can you update your forum to make you the number one EFL forum for Korea |

I'm totally behind this idea.

Oh, I can tell you the answer to this:
The pain of the five seconds it takes them to activate one of their many socks they had lying in reserve just in case. |

With regards to the search function:
Can you also fix so that if you click the post topic like a normal link and it opens in that window/tab, we can use the back button to return to the results. There are many times tht I forget to righ-click open as new tab/new window. When I want to go back to the search results I get the message this page can't be found, do you want to resend and it runs the search again, sometimes. Other times I get the message no topics can be found for this inquiry. It'd be really nice to be able to move forwards and backwards through the search page and the results. |

Dear Dave,
could we please have a special language forum for Korean and Japanese, or other languages of people who have the most difficult times switching to English? Maybe take a list of the world's bottom 5 learners of English and give them their own special forums within their own respective country forums.
E.G.
Korea job forums/

Language Forum
Korea would certainly qualify. I'm pretty sure Japan would too. I'm just not sure who the 3 other English language-learners with the most difficulties would be. But I certainly think it would foster sensitivity (possibly even respect) for E2L learners from those countries.
Koreans get unfairly derided a lot now for being idiots when it comes to English, but most of those detractors couldn't speak like Yoda for a week straight. Anyway might be a positive channeling of forces.
Cheers |
