Hi, I have read many posts about people taking pets back to Canada, but I have no idea how to take TWO. I have two kittens and I was wondering how I can take them to Canada. Do I have to get separate pet carriers (they are about 4 months). If you can give me any and all the information I need I would really appreciate it. |

If you have already read the other posts, and you haven't found your answer, unless someone else has done this, you are going to have to find out the answers yourself.
That's my guess.
Here's my other guesses.
You better make sure they have had their rabies shots with documentation, or get them ASAP.
Better, get RFID chips to document their identity with their shots. Don't think this essential for Canada, but it is a good thing. Prevents cats from getting lost permanently.
You may also need all the other shots, documented.
If they are four months old you are going to be on the borderline between kittens and cats. They may be too big to go into one carrier. Otherwise I would say use a softsided airline approved carrier and do a carryon. But if you have two carryon cat carriers, no way.
Alternative, hard sided in cargo. Here you can go any size. A dog sized carrier would be comfortable for two cats. Maybe an airline would allow it.
Here's the basics: Look for suitable flight. Don't buy tickets. Call carrier and confirm space for cats is available. Confirm rules, details, etc. Buy tickets. Call carrier back immediately and reserve space for your cats. Pay for cats when you board.
That's assuming you are going with an online discount ticket seller. maybe you can get a comparable deal with the airline direct, and then you can buy tickets and reserve pet space at the same time.
That's my understanding.
Good luck.
