Perhaps it has to do with Summer coming to an end while everyone are forced to adjust to Fall/Autumn or due to all the dark rainy days taking a mental toll on people.

In the past 3 days...

My neighbors are a moaning and groaning loudly often, I witnessed 2 ajossi fights locally while walking to and from work, my manager all of a sudden turned very mean on me for no legit reason, people are driving more aggressively, more garbage with maggots is ending up in the smelly streets, kids are acting worse and not listening, adults often coming off as very unfriendly, and many people just seem very depressed including myself. I feel like I am ready to jump ship to greener pastures, but can't due to needing money and the need to fulfill the contract commitment I made.

What's the deal?

Bad Behavior! , Only during the last 3 days? Where have you been all the other 362 days of the year? Out of the country!

sj1,

You posted in another topic that you've just quit smoking. This could easily be a withdrawal symptom. All the friends/family I've had who quit (or tried) get really cranky after a week of not smoking and it tends to last a month or three. That's the main reason an anti-depressant (Wellbutrin) is marketed under the name Zyban as a smoking cessation med in the US.

Ha! Ha! that is funny, thanks for a good laugh, I needed that. Smile

Yea, I quit smoking 2 weeks ago, but don't feel cranky, though depressed and anxious which I am sure has everything to do with my work situation. Things are not going well at all for me at work. I know they want to ditch me and not pay me severance and airfare, but there is no one to replace me and we are one teacher short due to a no show so they aren't going to can me yet. I getting yelled at while teaching classes for what I couldn't possibly know, not getting support such as told job specific details, never told anything until last minute, receiving negative and aggressive biitch attitude from vice director for no legit reason, and basically I am being led on a leash. I have never been late, absent, used a sick day, hurt a kid, and I do my best in teaching, clearly producing positive results, and know I am far from the worst teacher.

How far from the end of your contract?

Use those sick days...I've found that when you use a sick day, the next day they appreciate you more.

Just make sure to go to one of the millions of fake Korean doctors that are in every single building in this country and get a note. just tell the quote, doctor, unquote, that your head hurts and you have diarhea.

When is your contract up? Could also be an end of contract screwing in progress. Two friends in the last two months have been fired end-of-contract so they wold not ge their airfare and severance.

Good luck

Sojourner 1,

Try living in Sweden....2 months of beautiful summer..The rest; winter, cold, depressing..Still, a beautiful and clean country.

Sweden also has a high rate of suicides; weather is the primary variable.
