This day has been solo. I just came back from having sogogi guk bap and a soju. Went well together. Hadn't eaten all day because that's when these soups taste best. Picked up a shark ice cream and a goo goo cluster cone, cider, cigs, and another soju on my way back. Opened the soju and have had a couple of cups so far. Microwaved some popcorn and have some movies downloaded although alocohol and movies aren't a good mix for me.
My friend called before I went out and he'll be back in town any time now. So I guess I'm set. The plan is to go out drinking in this little burg. Probably sam gyeop sal and yet another soju. Hmm.
Long story short, what are you guys drinking tonight? |

Alcohol and movies don't work well for me either.
I got a sixer of Miller Lite on ice, shots of Crown, my acoustic guitar and a set of Hank Williams. Saturdays alone aren't always bad, I guess. |

No, alone ain't too bad. I actually brought my guitar out today. I had new strings, but I dont' really want to change the ones I've got. They're the originals from well over 2 years ago. Guess that would sacrilege to change them.
So you're drinking the good stuff.
Why does "Easy" by the commodores sound eerily similar to "Knockin on Heaven's Door"? Started playing the latter. Weird. Copy? |

I having Cass Red tonight solo. No, movies and getting drunk doesn't work, but good music and getting drunk works. Camping, fishing and getting drunk can work as long as you don't get too drunk and accidentally hurt yourself.
I sure wish I had some good beer drinking and fishing buddies though, because I need to talk to people. It's strange living the life of a mute hermit outside of telling those little brats to be quite and sit down, but I got myself into this freaked up situation by taking this teaching Koreanz job. Doing good so far, better than most, in the finance department with saving. I know people here who are borrowing money to make it to payday and me, I am sitting on 65% of my earnings while getting drunk often. I got a few friends, but they do something else with their weekends. I think they stay in like me, since they are very exhausted and mentally drained from teaching and living here like myself. Some chase pussssy and blow all the money while they're at it. We get together once every 4 to 6 weeks for a beer. I was going to go to Milyang and camp out tonight on the shoreline with my Cass beer and catch bass and/or catfish, but this damned rain just keeps coming down. Dark grey skies, high murky water levels, and slimy arse wet everything put a damper on my weekend plans. I wonder how one buddy is faring on his fishing trip in Gangwondo he departed yesterday afternoon for. Yea, he left at lunchtime, seen me, and said, get in the car, I was like, I got 5 more hours of teaching to do.
It is nice and cool now though and I would suspect that the sun ought to come out more now that it's Fall/Autumn. I can see we are in the process of change of season with this cool rainy weather we are getting right now. Enjoy the cold beer and cool breezes tonight, folks.

Good weather for fishing though. Cloudy can be good. Need that sun shining off the spinners though.
Yeah, watching movies and drinking ain't no good. My buddy just called and will be here soon. That could be short lived though. He's Korean and weighs just over half I do. He starts to get drunk quick. I'm 2 soju ahead of him though. Should make for intersting. |

I dropped my parents and sister off at the airport this morning and went back to bed until 5. Now I'm drinking miscellaneous fridge beer. I've got some Crown Royal but it wouldn't mix with the beer now. |

bek se ju. and right this minute i'm listening to "Sunshine of Your Love" by Cream.
Saturday is usually when i go out to the local foreigner bar...but thanks to the rain it's kind of dead tonight. oh, yeah, and i lost a handful of won playing blackjack with the South Africans...so i figured tonight might be better spent in my place sipping cheap rice wine and blasting old rock.
it's right nice! |

Don't drink the Kool-aid!!!
I'm drinking water, but reading this thread makes me want a gin and tonic.
I'm solo for Saturday night and guitar-less. |
