Looks like typical left-wing agitprop, which is usually pretty trite and boring.
But you Americans should be glad you live in a country where you're free to portray your president as Satan. In France, that would be illegal.

The Sun could be forced to pay a 30,000 fine after branding the French president Jacques Chirac a "worm" in a special French edition handed out on the streets of Paris.
"CHIRAC EST UN VER" declared the Sun's front-page splash in the best "up yours Delors" tradition. The page featured a graphic illustration of a worm with the head of the French president emerging from a map of France.

The tabloid's controversial stance breaks a French law that makes it a criminal offence to insult the president. Breaking the law carries a fine up 45,000 euros.

This would have to be my favorite, and not just for the obvious reasons.

What I like about the "rebellion" poster is that it doesn't outright state a political message, and in fact leaves the point a little ambiguous. It puts the word "rebellion" front and center, but then also throws in imagery that portrays state power in a somewhat appealing light. Are the sexy stalinists supposed to be the rebels, or do they represent what we should be rebelling against? And then of course, with the barbed-wire, we're back to a more direct symbol of authoritarianism. |

Those "artists" should be rewarded for their creativity. Man, were those clever... And original, too! |
