At the moment I am fostering someone's yorkshire terrier puppy "Ahgee" because, unfortunatly, her older cat has become quite ill and it was believed that too much stress in the home environment was a major factor. After waiting to see if the cat would recover, and a lot of discussion, we have decided to try to find Ahgee a new home. I would keep him myself but I already have a dog of my own and keeping two dogs long term just isn't practical for when I return to Canada.
Ahgee was born on April 14 and all of his shots are currently up to date. He is not completely house broken yet but he is crate trained so leaving him at home for longer periods of time can be done. His routine right now is to be crated at night, taken out for a pee in the morning, and allowed the run of the apartment while I get ready for work, then kenneled again when I go to work. When you're home he should be walked approx every two hours to limit household accidents.
He is playful, energetic and friendly. He gets along well with other dogs and always wants to meet new people. However, he does have a dominent personality and needs an owner with a firm hand who preferably has had some past experience in training a puppy. Yorkshires are extremely intelligent so he will challenge your authority on occasion, but win him over and he's yours forever.
Ahgee is looking for a forever home so please only respond if you're serious about meeting him. Please also check on the requirements for bringing a dog into your home country before you respond. I know from experience that Canada is not a problem so long as he is up to date on all of his shots when you bring him into the country.
