Just wanted to let anyone who wants to buy stuff in Korea, use g-market. It is way cheaper then e-mart and home-plus. I had to buy a baby bottle cleaner and at home-plus they wanted 150,000 won for it. My wife check it out on g-market and it was 58,000 won. That's almost 100,000 savings. I also picked up a kick as$ tripod for my camera. Listed it at 120,000 I paid 37,000 won. The best part of it is you don't pay until you get the stuff.
So you check it out and then pay. The only down side of the place is like most things in Korea the foreign section is pretty bare. So you need to have a Korean friend help you or what not.
I just wanted to share this with people, I have seen a lot of threads on how to save money and reduce cost last couple of days. I just saved a butt load of money. There is also auction.co.kr that is owned by e-bay, which my wife says is good as well. I will be looking at a 50 inch LCD t.v. today hope they have good prices on them. |

Yes they have English but the items are very limited. I if I don't know the word in Korean or the exact spelling I use an online dictionary to find it, works pretty good. But the place is cheap. I'm looking at a 32 inch LG xcanvas t.v. right now for 760,000 won. |

Is this an online store? If not, is there one in Busan or just in Seoul? |

Gmarket is great. As are many online shopping websites. Cheaper than stores and delivery to your door. What's not to like? |

I use gmarket, but have always had to pay before they ship anything. Is there something you do where you don't have to pay until you recieve the item? Also if you search for things on the korean site and then go to the english site you can click on the recently viewed items and check out yourself in english. So you don't really need a korean friend to help. The search function works pretty well when i only use english. |

Know of any high quality computer speakers? Something to hook to my portable CD player to play music.
Thanks. |

Yes, you pay before the goods is delivered to you - but it is not the seller you pay. You pay the website FIRST, the seller knows the money is there, he/she ships the product to you, then you check the item to make sure it's OK. If you are happy with it, you are supposed to go back to the site to click *products accepted* and leave a comment for the seller. This is customer protection. If you are not OK with the product, either because it's the wrong thing, or you are not happy with the quality, or it's the wrong size, then you send it back until you have the right thing. The seller only gets paid by the website once the customer is totally happy with the product. |

Thanks for that info, tzechuk. I used to get a call from a Gmarket rep after my purchase, thinking they were asking if I got the product ok but not really knowing what they were saying and just going 네, 괜찮아요.
Gmarket's great. I just bought an external hard drive off them today for myself and will probably a few for family members as they're very affordable. |

For the best online shopping experience try www.omi.co.kr
It's a price comparison site that lists the prices for items from all of the different online shopping sites including G-Market. |
